Farewell Summer

When I started editing these photos, I was very inspired by the romantic pre-raphaelite paintings. I love the stunning hues and depths in those paintings. So I started with adding a lot of light and colours to the images. But as I went along, all of a sudden I was inspired by gothic atmospheric movies which influenced the later images. The beautiful girl in these images is Edelee, a very much spirited and easy going person who was equally as excited for the shoot as I was. The brilliant make up was done by Dipika .
Summer is over now and it upsets me endlessly that I wouldn’t have elegant flower gardens to photoshoot in now. All the leaves will now dry to turn into golden, then slowly brown until snow covers them all. Now, I don’t particularly hate winter. Snow is just as beautiful. I guess I’m a little upset about summer’s ending because college starts again. That endless pile of homework will again start to haunt me. Farewell, beautiful summer days.
